Founder
Dawn McCown
Dawn McCown has always believed that the greatest gift you can give is yourself—your time, your care, and your heart. Her passion for charity work is deeply rooted in her personal values and upbringing, where kindness, service, and faith were the cornerstones of everyday life.
For Dawn, charity isn’t just about helping others—it’s about being a blessing. She finds purpose in lifting others up, especially those who are struggling silently. Whether it’s organizing fundraising events, supporting families in crisis, or simply offering a listening ear, Dawn steps in with compassion and a genuine desire to make life brighter for someone else. Her work with the McCown Charitable Foundation reflects this mission. As a co-leader and guiding spirit behind its efforts, Dawn helps drive initiatives focused on mental health, disaster relief, suicide prevention, and community support. Every project she touches is grounded in love and a deep understanding that small acts of kindness can change lives. What draws Dawn most to charity work is the joy of service—seeing hope return to someone’s eyes, watching a burden lifted, or knowing that someone feels less alone. She believes that if she can make even one person feel seen, valued, and supported, she’s doing what she was meant to do. Her motto is simple but powerful: “If I can be a blessing to someone today, then I’ve lived with purpose.” And every day, through her words, actions, and unwavering heart, Dawn McCown does just that.

Director of Development
Jen Tezbir
Jennifer has been in the non-profit sector since 2014, when she began her philanthropic career with the Children’s Tumor Foundation through their Walk events. After almost a decade of event management and fundraising, her passion for making a difference, particularly in the lives of children, led her into the classroom in 2022 when she became licensed as an Elementary Teacher amid the New Jersey teacher shortage. Jennifer is excited to start this new endeavor with MCF. She looks forward to partnering with other charitites and organizations to create unforgettable events and raise the crucial funds necessary to make an impact in the lives of others.
